Squared Vases

These vases evolved as I was playing with Art Deco thoughts. The torso of the vase is grooved and then squared off. I used two black glazes on the body - plain black on the bottom, and metallic black on the upper body, which is layered under the white on the shoulder of the vase. This shape also makes a great lamp base.
